Event Coverage

Some events you attend.Others invite you in.

Supercars Majlis was the latter kind.

Set deep in the UAE desert at Tilal Swihan Drag Strip, this was an invite-only gathering where hypercars weren’t just displayed, they were unleashed. No velvet ropes, no staged perfection. Just machines built to defy physics, surrounded by people who genuinely get them.

The Journey Into the Desert

Tilal Swihan feels purposefully distant from city noise. As you drive out, the world falls away, just sand, sky, and heat left behind. It’s the perfect backdrop for cars that don’t follow ordinary rules.

Arriving as an invitee changes everything. You’re not just a spectator; you’re there to experience it, document it, and be part of it. Cameras came out early. Engines warmed up even earlier.

Hypercars in Their Natural Habitat

The first thing I noticed was how alive everything felt.

Cars here weren’t just parked for show; they were prepped, checked over, and sent flying down the strip. The sounds alone were wild: turbo chatter, V8 thunder, high-revving hybrids, and that unique symphony only a Koenigsegg can make.

Among many unforgettable machines, one stood out instantly, the Koenigsegg Agera S “Medusa.”
Menacing, rare, and built with purpose. Seeing it in person and trying to capture it through the lens is something photos just can’t quite capture.

A Rolling Museum of the Impossible

During the event, I got to photograph an incredible lineup of rare and historic machines, cars that usually hide behind private garage doors or in climate-controlled collections.

Here, they ran.

From Koenigseggs facing off against Bugattis, to track monsters like the McLaren Senna GTR, to the timeless Ferrari F40, every corner of the drag strip felt like a living automotive museum. Each launch added a new story to the mix.

When Car Culture Meets Content Culture

A highlight of the day was seeing Carwow on site, with Mat Watson and his team filming a few episodes.

Watching top-level automotive content being filmed live in this raw setting was genuinely inspiring. No studio tricks. No fake drama. Just real cars, real races, real reactions.

As a creator, moments like this remind me why authenticity matters and why you can’t fake the atmosphere at Supercars Majlis.

Speed, Sound, and the Desert

Tilal Swihan brings something special to drag racing. The desert seems to absorb the chaos, making the speed feel even more intense. Launches are brutal. Gear changes are violent. Finishes come fast and final.

Photographing here is tough, with the cold weather, dust, and speed everywhere, but that’s what makes the images real. No polish (just a little Photoshop). No filters. Just raw mechanical energy.

With Thanks

Big thanks to Supercars Majlis for the invite and for creating a place where car passion is celebrated in its purest form, no gimmicks, no noise, just real cars and real people.

Special thanks to AbdulMajeed (Bu‑Mayed).
Your vision, attention to detail, and respect for car culture make this Majlis truly unique. It shows in the cars you bring together, the people you invite, and the experience you create.

I’m grateful to have been part of it, and even more grateful to have captured it through my lens.
